MöTLEY CRüE INDUCTED INTO HOLLWOOOD'S ROCKWALK AS COUNTDOWN TO GENERATION SWINE BEGINS

Mötley Crüe: joined the ranks of such accomplished musicians and innovators as Jimmy Page, Frank Zappa, The Ramones, Aerosmith, Van Halen and Ozzy Osbourne today, when the group was recognized by Hollywood's RockWalk for their significant contribution to rock 'n roll. The innovative group has long been at the forefront of rock, consistently creating original music. Motley Crue got tattooed long before it was fashionable; got pierced long before it became a trend, and reinvented themselves with every album, refusing to be pigeon-holed into any specific genre, format or category.

Today, the original members of Mötley Crüe: -- Tommy Lee, Mick Mars, Vince Neil, and Nikki Sixx -- placed their handprints and signatures in cement where they will be immortalized forever, just down the street from The Wiskey where they got their start seventeen years ago. The band took this opportunity to announce nationwide dates for their Live Swine listening events, which will provide a rare opportunity for Crue fans to preview their upcoming album Generation Swine (in stores June 24) live in its entirety. The Live Swine listening events kick off in Los Angeles on June 1oth at the Mayan Theatre and finish up in New York on June 23rd at Roseland.

Fans of the Crüe: circulated applications and began recruiting members at Rock Walk to join them in the Generation Swine. When asked about the meaning of Generation Swine, bassist Nikki Sixx said "It kind of alludes to everything we've never stood for, but part of it is that we're the Generation Swine, too. If you spend your money on yourself and what's around you you're a bit of a swine. There's only Mother Theresa and the Pope and everyone else down is a pig." Additionally, the first single from Generation Swine, "AFRAID", has quickly become the most added single at active and mainstream rock radio this week.
